The Challenge
Public school systems in the United States must comply with ADA standards. ADA requires school systems to ensure that all their programs, services, and activities are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. The client’s requirement was a mobility product that would provide ADA access to the main level.
The Solution
Our team identified the appropriate mobility equipment for the client after carefully considering their requirements and checking the layout of the building. We installed the Savaria V-1504 lift for this client. The V-1504 is a vertical platform lift, which has an extremely versatile design that can be configured and customized to suit virtually any project requirements and aesthetic needs. Driven by a reliable hydraulic system, the lift travels up and down a rail system enclosed in the lift tower. It is space-saving since no machine room is needed. Large ADA-compliant platform, continuous pressure button operation, and modular rail construction and other distinctive features make this unit an ideal option for commercial as well as residential settings.
