The Challenge
With 949 American Eagle Outfitters stores and 97 stand-alone and 67 side-by-side Aerie stores, the brand targets male and female college students, although older adults also wear the brand. This popular store wanted a dumbwaiter installed in their commercial retail building in NY.
The Solution
At DAY Elevator & Lift, we met their requirement by installing a Matot commercial dumbwaiter. This project was handled by a team of 4 technicians and we completed the installation in 6 months from the delivery date. Commercial indoor dumbwaiters from Matot are available in different weight capacities. These economical systems are available in light, medium and heavy duty lifting models to meet varying requirements. Our expert technicians install dumbwaiters based on the layout of the commercial building and to meet client’s needs.
During the American Eagle Store project, trade coordination was a challenge. The fire rating was only done to the exterior shaft not the interior shaft of the dumbwaiter, which led to an inspection failure until the GC fire rated the entire shaft. On completion, our client was satisfied with our work.
