Artisan Glass Elevators
Artisan Elevators by Nationwide Lift
Residential
OVERVIEW
As glass elevators are noted for their panoramic effect, such structures typically have both a glass elevator car and hoistway. Both the hoistway and car will be installed together after purchase of a residential glass elevator. A pneumatic lift is a popular option for the mechanical workings of a glass elevator, but all types of elevator systems can be made from glass, whether you prefer a hydraulic lift, winding drum, or machine traction drive mechanism. Also, both rounded and square elevator cars are options when you design glass elevators with us.FEATURES
Many people associate glass elevators with malls or childhood books like Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. While both of these are somewhat accurate associations, glass elevators appear in a number of places, and one of them can be your home. Typically, a glass elevator in a mall or hotel gives you a panoramic view of your surroundings, and one in your home can have the same effect. Additionally, the inclusion of a glass elevator is said to make the space seem more open, as the structure seems to be less closed off. At Artisan Elevators, we can help you create an elegant glass residential elevator for your home. Our design possibilities are nearly endless, so we’re sure to be able to create high-end glass residential elevators exactly like you envision.
SPECS
Typically, a glass elevator consists of a basic metal frame with glass panels. Although the walls of the elevator and the hoistway are all transparent, the floor of a residential glass elevator isn’t always. Our glass home elevators can have a standard or glass floor, whichever you prefer. Also, while all-glass elevators are somewhat common requests for us, yours doesn’t need to be made entirely from glass. Birdcage-style glass lifts offer a similar panoramic view by combining glass with an ornate, birdcage-like metal frame, and these are popular choices for those preferring a vintage look.
